What would cause my jeep to cut out until 3000 rpm map sensor? Tps sensor? Any info will help lol already changed the injectors

Got any codes? Sensors out of wack should through a code. That is unless it's not out of its working parameters then you would just have to see sensor data on a scan tool. I'm think 4.0l has some issues with valves sticking. That was an issue for people who babied them though.

My buddy has a scanner he said he would bring it to work tomorrow so i guess ill check that first. Its never been babied lol

I had an ecm give me fits on my 91 cherokee. New ecm cured this exact issue.


My car does it until 2500 if you are being easy on it. Ecm trick didn't fix the car so good luck

Id bet its tps. U should be able to check codes by turning ur key on and off 3 times and leave it in on position and count the cel flashes, but id bet its tps. Mine did same thing tps code is 24 btw

If it's intermittent and when it's acting up it cleans out around 3k and runs fine as long as you keep the R's up then it's likely the O2 sensor.

Un plugged the o2 sensor and it runs fine now
