Hi Everyone,

Just moved from California to Ohio and looking for some cool 4x4 trails. I'm near Cleveland. Driving isn't really an issue for me. I like to do a little bit of everything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Words of wisdom Cali trails are way different than east coast trails. Be prepared to relearn to.drove in sloppy muddy messes.

What are you driving?

I see, definitely will note that one. Thanks. I'm in an '01 Ram 4x4. Not a pre runner or Baja truck. Has a straight axle in front w/ 4 link and has leaf springs in rear. I've taken it pretty much everywhere as we have a large variety in Cali. Done mountains, desert, etc... takes a beating and keeps going haha.

How willing you are to beat up the body will be the next issue you'll face coming to Ohio.

Nothing on the east coast is exactly full size friendly, closest sand dunes are in upper mi, just about everything else is tight off camber woods trails.

Best place to start in Ohio for a full size until.you decide just how willing you are to smash the body up would be phionex off-road, or Southington off road. Both in north east Ohio.

That's the other thing we don't ha e nothing like the national parks you had over that way. Most rising areas are private owned, pay to ride areas.

To be honest, I fully plan on having to get this truck hauled away by a junk yard when I'm done with it because it will be that beat up. It's not my daily driver, I bought it to beat the crap out of it.

I will definitely check those places out, thanks! I was also looking at Wellsville, is that a good place to go? Not really worried about difficulty, I've taken my rig on some nasty stuff before.

What are the restrictions on shooting guns at these places? There were a lot of places we could go out for days and basically do whatever we wanted. Are there any areas like that out here? I don't mind going on an expedition as I really like the outdoors.

If body is not a concern and you want difficulty wellsville is the ticket.

Guns and wellsville for shooting reasons probably not, but for protection definitely. Wellsville crowd can be rough.

Look into the jamboree at stillwell as Well, it's one ofnthe best place in Ohio

Southington isn't real tough but I suggested it due to the assumption you cared about the truck but they are also a class e gun range. Not sure if they shoot the weeks d's they ride or not though.

Phionex again pretty easy trails but the owner has a Ford raptor so full sized fit.
If you want to experience redneckery at it's finest go to Yankee lake. It's a mud hole full of drunk rednecks. Not much else.

Powerline park is about the same but bigger.

Heiney farm is a smaller park down my way and im syre we could tear the thing up there too, plus the owner is an admin here.

Other than that your pretty limited and will have to leave ohio

Hatfield McCoy in west Virginia allows trucks in the bear wallow system and has some tough stuff.

Not really going to find the huge riding areas over here but you will find some very tough stuff

Sounds great, thanks! I really appreciate the heads up on all this! Definitely going to check those places out.

If you ever find yourself in California with an itch to hit up some places let me know. I know a ton of good ones.

I have to work my way to Cali, and getting past moab is gonna be tough.

Several of us will be at the June stillwell jamboree.

Ah yes, the infamous moab. Always wanted to do it. Prolly won't in a full size truck however lol. Have you done it before?

What do you offroad with?

I looked the Stillwell event up, looks pretty cool.

Moab is way more full size friendly than anything you will find here in Ohio.

Most of us here have full buggies, truggies, or small heavily bodily armored vehicles.

I run a bronco ii with partial exo
