Found this online. Chacnged a few words for holycaveman.

twas the night before Christmas, and all through the trails, a bunch of rigs were stranded, their progress like snails.

They had no shovels, no rope and no winch, no CB, no radio, to get out of their pinch.

When out from a mud pit, there arose such a clatter; All the 'wheelers came running to see what's the matter.

I saw some poor cherokee all covered in crud; He had blown his motor trying to get free from the mud.

As he stood there I noticed his glowing red face, and I knew in an instant he wanted out of this place.

I glanced at his roof, it was all I could see; He pleaded for help from my winch and from me.

So I sprang to the front of my trusty old joy, spooled out my winch cable, said "Hook 'er up, boy!

He went for a swim in the deep muddy hole, I tried not to laugh cuz he looked like a troll.

He hooked up the cable to his buried front hook, I put a coat on the line like it says in the book.

I winched him out quickly, a very fast session; and almost charged him a C-note, to teach him a lesson.

I cruised my runner through the mud to the shore; no problem for me, 'cause I had a real 4x4.

I wound down my window as I drove out of sight, and cheerfully yelled "Merry Christmas My Friend, It's a winch owners Night!

We covered 9 double black trails with 10 rigs in april. We always covered alot of ground down there. Hit the trail at 9 or 10 and wheel until they kick us out at dark. We left late enough in april I was running lights on my way out. And we got the trail at 9am. I clocked 16 miles including the easy trail from trail head to the tough stuff round trip

I have led 20 guys through 50 miles of trail. And also spent an entire day in one 5 mile section. It all depends on the day. But we all know a good small group will cover a lot more in the same amount of time.

You don't want to run Joe's farm with mytoys. All day for 1/8 mile. I'll be there this year!

I've never not covered ground at ivy. Lower jay always takes a couple hours because someone almost always breaks, unless you are mtublazer he just walks it. It depends alot of the weather down there. if you ride with mytoys group as me and one piece do you will move nonstop

You know in the end I will just tag along behind everyone. LOL

That 1/8 mile sounds like fun if I am struggling the whole way!

Some of my most memorable rides we hardly got anywhere. I can spend 2hrs trying just one obstacle and be totally happy.

I would rather go 1 mile on tough terrain than 20 on the easy stuff.

That's my logic too. Most of ivy is a struggle but with smarts alot of them are perfectly doable in rigs like ours. But body protection or lack of care is a must
