I'm a jeepher in florida that will be moving to Ohio next year. Looking for some trails or jeep/offroad parks around the Columbus area if anyone can recommend any or know of any local Columbus jeep clubs?

You will be at least an hour from any legal trails if you are within the 270 Loop of Columbus. If you check our regional forums you will see that there is nothing trail wise listed. Though depending on where you end up in columbus you could be around an hr to 3 or 4 differant riding areas.

Gross! But that'll work. The trails I hit here are not "legal" but we have a law that basically makes it hard to be trespassed. Most likely moving to Powell. I know nothing about Ohio so I'm trying to locate areas for trails. Next weekend will be my first time in Ohio actually.

There used to be two not so legal areas around Columbus both of those have been gated and the last I knew we regularly patrolled your best bet in Ohio his to stick to pay to ride off road parks or the few unmaintained Township roads that we have. There is a lot of riding to be had in Ohio but most of it is not very body friendly you have to pick and choose the trails based on how you care about the appearance of your Jeep

If you stay active on forum and check the active topics/timeline you'll often see a ride posted. Best way to meet people is show up or go to one of those.....

Not sure about any official clubs in Columbus. But you may want to check out "empire off-road" they use to wheel routinely around here and they were mainly a xj based group of friends. Not sure if they take new members or not.

Sounds great! I won't be up there in April though. I'll be up next weekend, three weeks in May, and a week in July so far. Not moving up until I finish some more classes here to make it easier to transfer into OSU.
