Hello offroadohio!

I am a long time Toyota wheeler from central Ohio. I have a 84 x-cab pick up with ARB's frt and rr , Marlin Crawler 4.7 t-case, custom national springs (great flex), dual gas tanks, and shower! I am running 33" Micky Thompsons (small by todays standards // back in the day...considered BIG) with 4.88 gears. Great off road and no problem keeping up w/ traffic ON road.

I have been wheeling it since '86 and have traveled to Colorado and Utah as well as Mich, Tenn and Ky.

Most recently, I have been wheeling in Natural Bridges State park area east of Lexington Ky (exit at Slade Ky). Great area for wheeling and hiking. (i.e. Red River Gorge area). The 4x4 trails are behind NB State Part.

My truck is currently in repair......30 years of wheeling and RUST have done in my frame. (Not to fear!...I have a solution! // found excellent frame in Colorado).----> Sorry wife, my truck pre-dates my marriage.

Anyway, Looking for more local areas to wheel. I know of Wellsville area on Ohio river, but.....other?

Welcome!

Browse our regional forums for ohio riding locations.

Stillwell should be somewhat close to you.

Also a couple parks in Perry County - heiney farm and clay valley.

April 9th/10th we are hitting a new park near stubenville aswell.

Tom I am up for a trip to Red River Gorge area if you are maybe we could do it as one of our test runs before our big trip in 2017.

I know the area kind of and I have several buddies who live in Slade that could lead us

Aint that the truth. I remember when 35" was the sh!t....... personally I think too many people try to keep up with the raising "standards" and forget how to have fun with what they got.

Welcome to the forum. Really luv'd the background story!

How true. I love the ARB's for that reason. Play with open diff's, but when in trouble...lock 'm in!

Just got back from Colorado for (replacement) frame purchase. Check out YodaJims junk yard (Toyota 4x4 / 4 runner specialists in Devner Co). He and his crew running highly modified everything // huge tires. Talking how 'borded' they all were. Everything too easy! Going to build new truck...but reasionble mods only
